Hi there,

I'm Eric's (7eat51) other half. Eric's enthusiasm for SoG (and WoG) have caught me onto these games; played the demo game at Flatcon and Rockcon recently and enjoyed them. Thought I also follow him onto this forum too.

Permission to come on board. :salute:

Susan

Ahh, I appreciate your compliment () but you over estimate me, or actually underestimating other shipmates here.

I have been reliably informed I have excellent taste in shoes, as well as other forms of clothing.

I just don't often get the chance to demonstrate it. :P

Welcome aboard Susan!

Did you and Eric find the chit-bags my wife Annette made useful? I need to get her and my daughters to sign up here. Perhaps when our girls are home from University during the holidays I'll get all 3 of them set up.

I got the demo kit 9 days before the demo game, so I had little time to get ready. No practice games. The color coordination on the bags took a while to set in. I'd say halfway through the demo game that was my very first game...my brain started registering that the yellow bag had the "A" chits. A big "A" on the side of the bag would be a slap in the face reminder that it is indeed the "A" bag.

For that :smack: see my reply to your comment in this thread (http://sailsofglory.org/showthread.php?1348-LATEST-UPDATE-FROM-ARES&p=20853&viewfull=1#post20853) (Answer #289).

Basically, I agree, but like you, Annette & I didn't have time to get it all done before our con and shipping it to Eric & Susan in time for theirs.

The less said about the bag for the "D" chits, the better.... ;)

Welcome from sunny Florida Susan.

As for shoe fashion, I am just glad when I get them to match and on the right feet.

As for the gaming side, never blink, and never show weakness! "Where does mercy go, when the broadsides clash and life's essence begins to flow."

Welcome Susan, as usual I'm late to the party! Eric has spent the last year looking after the poor Francophiles (myself and Sven) which is much appreciated. I look forward to seeing some of your painting and contributions.

You'll need to get an avatar, that should start some good conversations around the dinner table

Like Andy, we were first timers and didn't figure out what the bags were for until we've already grown accustomed to using the zip-bags. Your wife did a great job though, very nicely done. Now I'm sad these are not part of the kick-starter bundle.
