as I'm scanning this forum for quite some time now, I'd like to take the opportunity to introduce myself briefly.

My name is Sebastian, currently living in south-west Germany, and by profession I'm a biochemistry scientist.

Despite having a lack of skill, patience and time for the building, painting side of the hobby, I do like historic wargaming in general and the Napoleonic era in particular. Therefore, SoG with prepainted and assembled minis does fit my needs rather well and I couldn't resist pledging for the WW Lieutenant at the KS campaign.

As stated above, I was visiting this site for some time now, and I do appreciate the atmosphere, kindness and the commitment people show in this forum.

So that's it for now, everything left I can do is to wait for my fleet to arrive (It's quite some time till August (I think it's time for another preview vid from Ares, showing us the advanced rules) and delve further into the AoS infos found here.

So long,
Sebastian

Welcome Sebastian! We have the same interest in the Napoleonic period so like you it was a natural progression to become involved in SOG. Look forward to sharing the Anchorage with you:rum:

Welcome aboard Sebastian. :salute:

I had the opportunity to play SoG a couple of days ago, and even at the basic level, it was a lot of fun.

Thanks to all of you for the warm wellcome.

My impatience is growing, but if Ares does provide us with regular updates, like the new KS update, I will make it till August.

Yours Sebastian

I am finding that purchasing other naval wargames is a nice way to wait out the release of SoG.

Similar here, although rather than purchasing I'm writing (possible four or five new sets for publication over the next couple of years or so - and playtesting is so much fun :)

I hope my AAR have something to do with it :embarass:
