Yes, loads of fun if not taken too seriously. Quick and simple to play, but became unbalanced when they added flyers as most ships couldn't deal with them. has become something of a "cult classic", and commands a very decent price on ebay and elsewhere, so if you see any of it going fro reasonable prices its worth a punt.

I used the basic system for a quick play age of sail game for use at conventions which we've been running on and off for nearly 15 years, and I have a similar variant covering the ACW as well.

I got a copy of Dreadfleet now and study the rules at this weekend. Looks good.
My copy of Man-O-War ist on the way; found a new one here...:happy:, need more space for all the games:erk:
