Hello all,

I've been lurking here since right before the kickstarter began, and I was the third backer on there(EB captain, which I later gave up for a WW captain pledge). Since I made my first post earlier today, I thought I might as well post an introduction, no matter how brief.

I'm a Swede in my thirties, working with computers and embedded systems, and in my spare time I enjoy board games, beer, and electronic music, among other things. I got into Sails of Glory by means of being a Wings of War/Glory fan, and I can really see how the system would work well for naval combat. I also have a general interest in history, and I see the game as a way to expand my knowledge.

To provide something resembling content in this post I managed to scrape up this link to one of the few real sailing ships I've made an (albeit short) trip in. A nice schooner from 1923 that some relatives of mine restored in Stockholm around 1987 (now sold to France): Marité (http://www.tallship-fan.de/cgi-bin/tallship_e.pl?ACTION=DISPLAY&SCHIFFSID=1431)

Hope to see you all around the anchorage,

Henrik
