:g&t:

Greetings all, I'm Chanfan/Michael E. I just snuck into the Kickstarter after watching it for a long time, largely via BoardGameGeek.

I have a long history of Napoleonic interest, and Age of Sail in specific. So, plenty familiar with the period in both non-fiction and fiction (mainly Hornblower/Forrester, Aubrey/O'Brian for the nautical fiction). Also have plenty of prior gaming experience with various board games on the topic (Wooden Ships & Iron Men, Close Action, Flying Colors, 1805: Sea of Glory), and various computer games as well.

Looking forward to it - and imagine I'll be diving right into the advanced game.

Welcome aboard!

OT: Do I know you from another board, say Fedora Lounge?

Yes, I am on Fedora Lounge - although I've been a very infrequent visitor (and even less frequent poster) of late. Small world!

Ditto, amigo--got cross-threaded with a few people over an unfortunate misunderstanding and general failure to communicate. The Lounge just ain't the same place as it was when I joined... one, there just isn't as much to learn; two, most of my friends from the old days have either moved on or moved into "former friends" and three, the place just got stuffy--not as "fun" of an atmosphere, like somebody threw a wet blanket over everything.

Everybody, be nice to my old shipmate here, or I'll have to run up the Black Flag... LOL

Hello! Can you see Mt. Rainier from you house?

Chanfan

Nope, just the Cascades. Mt. Rainier I can only see from the freeway on the way into Seattle, on clear days - "when the mountain is out", as it's put locally.

Thanks for the welcomes!
