Hello all. I am a very active board gamer due to having started a group in my local area who meet every week to play anything we can get our hands on. We have a group called "The Society of Risk" as we first started out playing variations of Risk board games. It was actually one of these friends who pointed me towards the Kickstarter campaign as he knew how much I loved the Age of Sail (you should see the massive replica of the Victory I have sitting on my book case). And from the moment I saw what the game was I was hooked. I have been designing an Age of Sail game for years ever since Master and Commander came out at the cinemas. My final designs actually had miniatures with compasses built into the circular base so that all the pieces could be aligned. But Sails of Glory has finally put an end to that thought as I am more than happy for someone else to make the game that I have wanted to play for years. I am so excited that I will be engaging in naval combat shortly. And large scale combat as I have a Commodore level pledge heading my way. Well I just want to say that I am also thrilled to be finding an anchorage here amongst age of sail peers. So greetings and happy sailing.
