I hail from the great Naval state of Colorado. Well, great if you count the Kayak fleets. Not so much for anything else.
I have always enjoyed reading the historical fiction from the Age of Sail (Hornblower, Bolitho, Aubrey, etc) as well as the actual history of the period. I have played Wooden Ships and Iron Men until it wore out and when I saw on KS that there would be painted minis it didn't matter if the game itself was decent (though it appears that it will be) I pledged and started thinking how I would place the shelving to put them next to my Collector's Edition of War of the Ring (painted minis are a HUGE selling point for me).
Of course I wonder if I will ever get to play it as the wargamers in this area I have met tend to be the traditional WWII type. But it won't be the first time I have owned a game and then looked for an opponent.
OK, basics done. Will now go peruse some of the other posts and see what type of community I have joined.
