Love the video..Onboard the Constitution each morning for Colors they shoot one cannon. That was impressive. I cant imagine standing there while the Victory pours out a whole broadside!!

OMG How awsome. How must that had been in the day?

My father, who was in the RN through both World Wars, told me the Gunnery Officer would recite "If I wasn't a gunner, I wouldn't be here! - SHOOT!!" in between shots, when firing a salute, in order to get the timing right. I expect it is all done with computers today. The broadsides footage is very impressive.
I also always enjoy watching the firing displays by the Kings Troop RHA.
