    Default International Naval Wargames Day

Evening all, as a result of a posting on TMP a few days back there is growing momentum for an International Naval Wargaming Day, with August 6th (the birthday of Fred Jane) selected as the date. Nothing too formal, just a day once a year for naval wargamers to play a game and then share their experiences on social media, wargaming forums like this, their blogs etc.

Hoping that many of my friends here will support this fun event across the world this year and hopefully into the future

The nerdiest holiday of the year! I love it.

Make sure to remind us on the day so we can get involved.

    I'm up for it Dave.
Sounds like a good excuse to make a weekend of it.
    Bligh.
The Business of the commander-in-chief is first to bring an enemy fleet to battle on the most advantageous terms to himself, (I mean that of laying his ships close on board the enemy, as expeditiously as possible); and secondly to continue them there until the business is decided.

Not at all Chris. My remark about making a weekend of it may have misled you.
I was intending to invite a few friends around for a game or two over the weekend.

    Wife's Bday...

No chance of commemorating anything but national shoes, handbags, hats, jewelry and spa voucher day...

    Fred Jane has no chance

    Hiroshima has no chance
