    Default HEIC Nottingham.

Here is my rendition of an HEIC Heavy 44 gun Frigate, built of Teak in Bombay dockyard.
For my Solo games I have called it Nottingham.

Very nice! Super clean paint on the masts, I can't keep my lines that straight.

Did you add doors over the main deck guns or just paint red lines to convince the eye you did?

    Morning Airborne.
I just painted a red stripe over each port to give the idea of the edge of a port lid.

It looks great, I think the models are too fiddly to do more when a simple paint stripe looks correct!!!

Thanks for the nice comments Neil.
I am a bit worried about your remark "burgeoning fleet." this was supposed to be one of the last ships in my Squadrons, which have already grown to small Fleet size.
    Where will it all end?

The Indie keeps calling to me also. Though I keep debating finding a 1/1200 ship and modifying it versus cutting up a SOG 74. With the Bonhomme Richard coming out this year, I am assuming their will be some merchantman versions of that hull. I am making up a couple of merchant ships now and your Nottingham seems like a great ship to escort them.

I am also looking to do a large Indiaman and a smaller Merchant ship.
I can't wait for Ares to produce one next year or the one after.
    We need them now.
please update me on anything you find suitable AE.

I agree! - A proper merchantman would be perfect as a release, I am also hopeful for other ships...but why I keep asking myself! How many ships is enough?

Rob, the British 64 in the fourth wave would probably be better as the "victim" for razeeing as it was done from an Ardent historically.

When I did my conversion there were no others even on the horizon. I hoped to make it a little smaller by shorting it a little and using the by upper instead of lower deck to compensate for the Elizabeth being bigger.

It's not even in the one coming up but the one after that one. Now we'll get a French 64 and a British 50.

    Hey Rich.
I would imagine that when we have enough ships to do Trafalgar, Camperdown, and any personal favourite encounters such as the great Lakes, The Saints, Chesapeake, etc plus a few special favourite ships such as my Indiamen, HEIC,Merchantmen, and so on, we will have enough.
Did they use steam tugs towards the end of the wars? Then there was Fulton's submersible of course!
How long is a line of battle?

I did include "any favourite personal encounters" and gave some such as examples Jonas, because I knew that as many battles as I mentioned there would be someone who came up with the Sardinian fleet or the Turks. There are just too many to name the whole lot.

Ares may have been the God of War, but I think the modern Ares is being rapidly re-assessed as the god of impatience and suspense!

Just came around to see the pictures, great job, Rob!
Looks very different from every other British-associated ship we got so far. The red gunport doors look brilliant, I love the effect.
I will copy it as soon as I find the time for some repaints!

I had been reading up where the john Company was a bit flash with its ships, always trying to outdo the Royal Navy for smartness and efficiency, and how the RN resented what they regarded as a load of Merchants running their own Navy. Sop i thought that a bit of red paint would smarten things up a bit. after all my Captain has just six voyages to make a name for himself.

I too am pondering expanding the 'burgeoning fleet' so to speak. But again I'm in the quandry of having an extensive Langton fleet(s) too!

Those paper ships are quite good. The event itself will likely be one to keep a look out for once they post an AAR.

Nice repaint Rob, the red above the gun ports looks like they have lids, I didn't know they weren't there till you told us.
